Ever get weird comments on fic?

I totally agree with that. I want to go on the record as saying I love comments for exactly that reason. Of course, substantial, thoughtful comments on fic are amazing, but I like the one word squees too. I've heard people say they don't like to leave short comments, even if they liked something, because they think it doesn't give the writer any useful information. Not true, I say! At least I know something is being read and enjoyed. Some people find OMG First comment!!1!11!! comments annoying, but I don't. I think it's generally done in a tongue-in-cheek way, and I've done it myself in that spirit. It's sweet, and I appreciate it for being sweet.
However, I sometimes get comments I'm not sure what to make of. They're neither flames nor concrit, but something else altogether. For example, I occasionally get a comment along the lines of I usually don't like your fics because [lists a few things I apparently suck at] but this one is okay. I like it. I have no idea how to respond to something like that. It's like getting a slap in the face and a pat on the back at the same time. What's the point of telling someone something like that? What does it accomplish, really? If you liked this fic, great, but why go out of your way to tell me you don't like my other fics now?
So here's my question: What's the weirdest bit of feedback you've ever gotten for something you wrote? How did you respond to it?
