[livejournal.com profile] ginny_weasley has written a post script here. So, so funny.

Quotes:
"so many people asked that. so many. why can't i be nice? because i'm a sarcastic bitch, that's why. i don't sugar coat things, especially not in my own journal. if i was talking about a serious issue i might have made an effort to be nicer, but this was a snarky essay written for shits & giggles. it was an essay written about fictional people. boo fucking hoo."

"the sirius/remus shippers are like, well, shit, i'll write me some fan fiction. and here are harmonians, writing their defiant little letters that j.k. rowling will never, ever see."

"i couldn't believe that after everything that happened in HBP, people actually had the nerve to bitch and whine because their ship sunk. are you fucking with me? you're not going to read the 7th book because harry and hermione won't be playing slap and tickle in the astronomy tower? good! don't waste your fucking money!"

There's something so appealing about well-done snark, you know? ;-)

Hee! So very snarky. I was a Harmonian on the side, and yet I will never write JKR a "little letter" about it. I'll be too busy reading Post-HBP Harry/Draco smut with a side of Snape >:D

Just a heads up, this weeks Entertainment Weekly (I have a subscription) has a big spread on Ewan for his new movie. I actually think there are some half naked shots...I'm not sure.

Enjoy :)

...Harmonian? Is that...Harry/Hermione shippers? *is slow*
I'm probably the only one like this, but, who cares about what happens in the books? The Post-Hogwarts fics are where it's at anyway. And Fandom is flexible, anyway. There's a reason why The AU tag exists, after all. And Post-Hogwarts for that matter. Until they kill one of them off ("and even then, I'm sure God negotiates), ships don't die. Writers just have to be more creative.

That comment about the Philopher's Stone was hilarious. There was an actual Nicolas Flamel, research so important. *amused*

well done snark is so much fun!!!

You know, I'm glad I sit quietly in my little corner of fandom most of the time. There are really some balls to the wall crazies that come out of the woodwork when you least expect it. As much as I love the books, the fanfic, I feel like shaking some of them and saying; Kiddies, this is all well and good but these are fictional characters for pete's sake. There are real things happening out there in the world that I wish you would give a tenth of that ire and energy to.

Stuff like this just serves to make me feel like a creaky old fangirl. ;)

Hahahahaa! I think my very favorite part was the end where she likens the fandom to a daycare. Her descriptions of the different ship-camps is PERFECT. I am still chuckling.

The thing is, it's all about loving the books. When people take it that seriously, they deserve to be mocked. ;-)

Yes! I still think slashers take themselves much less seriously than the het shippers.

Hear, hear. At least we can live with our fic being AU. ;-)

I agree. I mean...I don't go around arguing with the Harry/Ron (Rarry?) shippers about canon facts. [livejournal.com profile] ginny_weasley has to be the queen of snark though XD

...do they actually have a name? I mean, I know some people call Draco/Harry Drarry (or, in [livejournal.com profile] madeyemax's opinion, Harco *snort*), but what do you call Harry/Ron?

For those that asked... Harry/Ron... Haron is what I've been calling it.

I thought we agreed to call Harry/Ron Spotted Dick?
