I feel like a geek, but hey -- it's Ewan. What else can I do? He reduces me to a puddle of squealy fangirly goo.

HUNKY Ewan McGregor has millions of women lusting after him but the actor has a confession - he prefers pretending to be gay. He is cleaning up in Hollywood playing gay characters which image-wary Americans are too scared to risk their careers by playing. In his latest movie, Down With Love, the Perthshire-born star portrays a macho womanising journalist who has an unlikely fling with his neurotic male boss, played by Frasier star David Hyde Pierce. It follows a string of gay performances in films including Velvet Goldmine and The Pillow Book. He adds: "I've never really worried about being masculine. I know it's a very popular thing, especially in America, to not want to be seen as homosexual. But I thought it was kind of exciting." The star says there is "really no difference" between doing straight sex scenes and gay love scenes which he "loves".

TMI: It's sexual frustration, that's what it is. MDH is constantly traveling, and when he's been home lately he's either been jetlagged out his his gourd or pathetically sick and miserable. I haven't had sex in WEEKS! The kittens are running around everywhere here, quite alive and well. And reading about Helens's glorious sex life isn't helping... No offense, chica -- I'm just jealous at the moment. *sigh*
