I love the word panties. It's just fun to say. My favorite term though is unmentionables. That what my great grandma used to call them. When I read my mom a passage from HP where they talked about unspeakables she said, "What's an unspeakable? It sounds like it has something to do with dirty panties." I laughed so hard soda came out my nose.

Yep. I...actually have a slightly funny story about using "pants" to mean "panties"...and I shall tell it! *grin*

So, my roomie and I my freshman year of college...we have this guy friend. This guy friend, in fact (and that's my roomie next to him). Anyways. My roomie had this pair of purple panties with a cat that said "sassy"; we called them her Purple Sassy Pants, (to her pants = panties because her sister is in Scotland). Somehow we started talking about seeing our friend in pants (we meant jeans, as we normally only see him in a kilt), and then her mind went to her Purple Sassy Pants..and..yes. Now every time I see or hear the word "pants" used to describe panties I get this horrible image of our friend in those panties.

And that is my story. I love my roomie.
