I think the point was to have a fun-sounding name for a comm devoted to porn. I'm sort of amazed that there are people out there who refuse to read fic on a comm with a name they dislike.

I mean, they could have called it stupidcuntfic and I would probably agree that was a bit much. But wanking over a comm named after a slang word for women's underwear?

Yeah, I know that's what they were after when naming it. Still, my first reaction when someone tells me their "panties melted" after reading a fic is not "Oooh, sexy," it's "Ewww, TMI." I don't think the wank is necessary either (though it's not really surprising), but I'm turned off to the name enough that I wouldn't read what's posted there. *shrug*
