Star Wars Prequels Fic-A-Thon!

The web site for the Star Wars Prequels Fic-A-Thon is now up at http://www.queerasjedi.com/fic-a-thon/ficathon.html. It's very plain at the moment, and I'm hoping someone will volunteer to make it pretty! *bats eyes* Suggestions welcome, by the way.

What you'll find there is the complete list of challenges, directions for claiming challenges, and a list of suggested places to post your finished fic. Can't wait to see the results!

Go you! Look at all those challenges!

Go Rita, actually. She's been collecting them all. I just html'd the whole thing. ;-)

Yay! Hmm -- I don't see the seven virtues challenges, but if I did I'd be putting dibs on "Charity". Anakin/Owen and Padme/Beru. Or at least Anakin/Owen...

You know, one of the things I like most about SW fic is the canon optional feel to it. The movies are canon, but you don't have to have read all the books in order to know the full story. Unlike LotR, Master and Commander, and the Sharpe series, all of which I really feel I ought to be reading in order to write any fic there (and I'm so intimidated by M&C that I never even started).

This is particularly helpful in terms of Owen and Beru, of course. :)

The seven virtues challenge that you submitted? It's on the list, #38. So do you want to claim that one?

And I know what you mean about the pressures of canon! Writing in the HP universe is much more stressful than writing in the GFFA.

Ooh! Yes, yes, it is. And big Yes! to wanting to claim it. I'm definitely going to be working with "Charity"; if other people have a thing for the other virtues, I'd be all for letting them have a crack at them (you've said that you're going to let people overlap challenges, though, right? :) )

Okay, I'll put you on the list! Cool, Anakin/Owen. I've seen Obi/Owen, and Obi/Beru before. That was before AOTC came out. I look forward to seeing what you do with it!

Oh, it's there! It's number... *goes to check* ...number 38. Is that it?

Yay! I should've done a search for "virtues" *grin* Yep, that's the one. Mm, Anakin/Owen.

Because lord knows, I need another Fandom to fall in love with ;)

I am Papaya, aka Kelly and am a big lazy goof and have yet to formerly introduce myself to you:) Heh. But what kind of prettyingitup do you want for your site?

Oooh, anything! I'm open to suggestions.
