There were lots of awesome prompts, and apparently almost everyone who claimed a prompt submitted a fic or artwork, which is pretty amazing! This should be fun to watch.

I don't have a preference for who tops whom in any pairing, and never have. It's just not something I really get, to be honest. One of the things I like about slash is that there a lot of different possible combinations for the sexytimes when both people have boy parts. But for whatever reason, Draco seems to be a bottom in most H/D fic, so it's going to interesting to see a bunch of fics that turn that stereotype upside-down. So to speak. ;-)

That. *nods* :D

It's a preference, and it's a valid preference -- exactly as valid as "I don't care who tops" or "Draco tops" or "Ginny pegs Harry while Draco watches". Someone not getting a particular preference doesn't make it something that requires special intervention.

Also: Draco will top Harry when pink unicorns fly through the sky. :D

I do have a small preference about top/bottom but that's not strong enough to turn me towards or away from a fic.

But I don't really want to follow a fest where I know from the start who puts his cock where. That takes away so much from the fun. I probably will read fics from the fest depending on the recs on my flist or I'll have a look through the masterlist once the fest is over.

I agree about the fact that there's very little bottom!Harry art and it's good there will be more now but with fic I think it's 50/50 (at least that was my impression from last hols or the travel fair).

IMHO a lot of female writers (and let's face it, most of the writers are female) feel the urge to, I don't know, "feminize" one of the characters, to make one a "bottom" and the other a "top" while in RL most gay men are pretty versatile, and a very high percentage really likes anal sex. Sure, there are exceptions - but not very many.
For some reason Draco (in fic) seems the more feminine of the characrers. I've never gotten it either.

Are Harry and Draco in it? Then I'll give it a try. I have no preference, make them fuck in every way possible, just don't kill them. :)

The next fest should be a switch fest since we've had both a top!Draco and a top!Harry now.

Yay! I like the variety slash offers us, and this is a great option to write in.

Thanks for participating, too!

I dont' really have a preference either. I like both depending on the situation and actually prefer switching the most -but you are so right, that Draco is the sterotypical bottom and so I LOVE this fest because it will balance the scales a bit!

This is perfect! <3

I agree with you -- both is nice :)

That said, I find it interesting that Harry tops more often than Draco. I've always imagined it to be the other way around. Both boys seem sort of reckless to me, in different ways, I think because we have less canon information on Draco, it's easier to take liberties with him, but I think it's interesting that Harry is more often the top.
