Weeeell, Motorhead *did* do a really great cover of "Stand By Your Man" wherein the words were changed to "Give him a place to come to and something *hard* to go to, whenever he feels lonely!" :D

(Tammy Wynette sings: "Give him two arms to cling to and something warm to come to, when nights are cold and lonely." Much less gay.)

I'm serious, although it's entirely my judgement that those are the lyrics. The Stand By Your Man cover is definitely great and worth checking out for reasons other than confirming my hearing. It's particularly nice that badassness doesn't preclude them from doing innuendo-laden covers of country crooner ballads. :)

yeah, i don't know how anyone could have taken that Band website seriously. He lists Elton as gay, but not Boy George, then lists out Morrisey as 'questionable'... then lists Ted Nugent as one to watch, despite his not-so-supportive-of-teh-gays ways... not to mention a list of some rather outspoken anti-gay hip hoppers.

but i can understand how that doubt lingers... because you're all "well, he can't be THAT stupid... but, some ConserveCrispies ARE that stoopid...."

if you read thru the whole article (or maybe it was a linked article?), it says the actor in question denies that he is Donnie.... it also mentioned that two other actors have been identified as being Donnie.

aside from the music groups that are gay vs not gay, the only reason I'm convinced it is a joke is because I am sure if this were a real organization there would be contact information.

Oh that's so good to know. When you first posted about this, I watched the video twice trying to find some solid evidence of it being a satire and really couldn't find any. But then I had the damn song in my head the next day, which made me feel really f'in' dirty. At least now I feel better that it's making fun of the asshats instead of him actually being an asshat.
