DH, 3 years later

midnitemaraud_r and others on my flist have noted that today is the 3rd anniversary of the release of the last Harry Potter book.

Wow. It feels like it's been a lot longer than 3 years in a lot of ways. Three years ago today, I was home in Austin, having canceled my trip to go to Sectus in London after finding out I was pregnant (after 6 years of trying and a successful IVF cycle, woot. Incidentally, got the call that I was pregnant while at a Remus Lupins concert with some fellow HP fans. How's that for a fan's life?). I went to a local release party and had a blast, then went home to read the book alone. I posted my thoughts chapter-by-chapter as I went, which is really fun to go back and read now.

So obviously my life has changed a lot since that night 3 years ago!

One of the best things about going to Infinitus was that it really reignited my love for this fandom! And it got me writing again, which is fantastic.
