Web Site Change! Please spread the word!

As I posted earlier, someone swiped the queerasjedi.com domain name away from me and helens78. Our host tried everything she could, but it was too late. It's gone.

So we've registered the domain name queerasjedi.NET, and shortly everything will be back up there. This means that any link to that site is now broken, of course, and we need your help getting the word out about the change. Please spread the word that any link that went to queerasjedi.com NOW goes to queerasjedi.net.

Oh, and while I'm at it, let me praise the folks at CKR Hosting, where we have that web site. Robin is always there to answer my questions and help me out, and she has spent the last three hours getting the .net site up and running in an amazingly short amount of time. If you're looking for a place to host your site, I highly recommend them! :-)

GoDaddy.com SUCKS big donkey balls. As do their commercials.

Crossposted from helens78, re: the debacle of our web domain getting swiped. Apparently GoDaddy.com swiped it the moment it came up (before we could renew) and AUCTIONED IT OFF, without attempting to contact us. And geez, our emails are all over that site, so it's not like it wasn't hard to do.

That's that. I haven't heard back from him, and honestly, I don't really expect to. (I feel pretty good about the negotiating process -- I managed not to lose it or call him names, which is a pretty big achievement. :P) However, I do have a favor to ask from everybody out there:

Please don't click on any link that sends you to queerasjedi. com. Every time someone visits the old domain, the ad service currently parked there gives the domain squatter a few cents. It may not sound like much, but it adds up to enough that this guy was willing to steal our domain name -- so please help by denying him that satisfaction (and cash). I want him to lose money on this deal!

It's extortion, you know? I'm tempted to go and sign that guy up on a bunch of mailing lists for gay porn and sex toys and stuff. It's all I can do to vent my frustration. :-P
